When a task or chastity action fails, the error names a specific reason. These are the common ones.

Tasks

• Blocked by a hard limit: the task matches something the sub has marked as a hard limit on their kink checklist. Hard limits can't be assigned around; the task needs to be changed or replaced.
• Soft limit warning: a warning rather than a block. The task touches something marked as a soft limit. It can still be assigned; the warning is there so it isn't assigned unknowingly.
• Blackout active: the relationship (or the sub specifically) has an active blackout window during which new tasks can't be assigned. Check the Scheduling page for when it lifts.
• Consent required: one partner's consent has been revoked and needs to be reconfirmed before this can go through. See "Consent tracking and revocation."

Chastity

• Timer isn't locked / already unlocked: actions like extend or roll only apply to a currently locked timer. If the timer already ended, there is nothing left to act on.
• Timer is indefinite: extend and roll both need a scheduled end time to work against. An indefinite lock has no end date set, so those actions aren't available until one is.
• Hygiene openings exhausted: the timer's allowance of short cleaning exceptions has already been used up for this lock. See "Chastity terms explained" for how that limit works.
• Rolls not allowed on this timer: rolls have to be turned on when a timer is started. They can't be added afterward to a timer that didn't have them enabled.
