The Contract page is a read-only composite: your active rules, open-ended recurring tasks, rituals, both partners' limits, and any shared documents, all in one place. Rules is where they're actually managed.
A Dom adds a rule directly. A Sub proposes one, if rule requests are turned on, for the Dom to approve or reject. Every rule keeps a version history, so an edited rule shows what it used to say as well as what it says now, which is the "living" part.
A rule the Dom adds or edits generates a pending amendment. It isn't binding until the Sub acknowledges it, one at a time or all at once from the Contract page. This exists so a rule change is something the Sub has seen and agreed to, not something that took effect the moment the Dom clicked save.
